This is the first serious post in the history of The LG Report and, regrettably, it mourns the death of Romeo, the recent winner of The LG Report's Cutest Pet Contest.
Romeo was hit by a car earlier this week. Linda, his loving owner, revealed the tragic news on her blog The Squashed Tomato. (Click on that link to see Linda's post.)
As the winner of the Cutest Pet Contest, Romeo was entitled to the First Place Prize: a tasty bag of dog treats. When contacted to get Romeo's mailing address in South Africa, Linda replied that Romeo had plenty of great treats on hand, and that she and Romeo would like the treats to be donated to a local dog shelter in order to help out the less fortunate.
Today, LG went to the local humane society...
And donated these treats to the orphaned dogs in memory of dear sweet Romeo...

And so, is it with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Romeo, a true champion. Most of us reading this did not know him, but that won't prevent us from mourning him.
